Onslaught Terms

These terms cover your use of the Onslaught Discord bot and the Onslaught server it guards. By running its commands, or by being a member where it runs, you agree to them.

About the bot

Every crypt needs a keeper.

Onslaught ("the bot") is a private Discord application built and run by the staff of the Onslaught Discord server ("we", "us"). It is not made, endorsed, or supported by Discord Inc., Spotify, Apple, or any other platform it connects to.

The bot provides:

  • Welcome and farewell messages when members join or leave.
  • Invite tracking that records which invite a member used to join.
  • Music playback in voice channels, including search and support for Spotify and Apple Music links.
  • Role management commands for server staff.

Eligibility

You must meet Discord's minimum age for your country and follow the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. These terms apply on top of Discord's own rules, not in place of them.

Acceptable use

Do not summon chaos through the bot.

When using the bot, you agree not to:

  • Spam commands, flood the music queue, or try to slow down or crash the bot.
  • Look for or exploit bugs, permission gaps, or rate limits. Report them to staff instead.
  • Queue audio that is illegal, hateful, explicit, or otherwise breaks the server rules below or Discord's rules.
  • Use the bot to harass, impersonate, or target other members.
  • Copy, resell, or redistribute the bot's code, branding, or output without permission.

Staff may restrict any member's access to the bot for breaking these terms.

Music features

The bot does not host any music. When you play a song, search, or paste a link, it looks the track up and streams audio from publicly available third-party sources into your voice channel.

  • Spotify and Apple Music links are read for track details only (title, artist, length). The bot then finds a matching public audio source. No audio is streamed from Spotify or Apple, and you do not need an account with either.
  • Matches are automatic and may sometimes play the wrong version of a song.
  • You are responsible for what you queue. Playback is for listening together in the server, not for rebroadcasting or recording.

Spotify, Apple Music, and other services can change their systems at any time. If they do, link support or search may stop working without notice.

Data we keep

The bot only stores what it needs to work. Everything is kept in a private database on the machine that runs the bot.

The bot does not read or save your message content, direct messages, voice audio, or Spotify or Apple account details. We do not sell or share stored data with anyone. To have your data removed, ask a staff member in the Onslaught server.

Staff tools

Commands that add or remove roles, change welcome and farewell messages, or reset invite data only work for members with the right Discord permissions. Staff are responsible for how they use them. Every role change the bot makes shows up in the server's audit log.

Availability

The bot is free and provided as is. It may go offline for updates, hosting problems, or Discord outages. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time. We do not promise any level of uptime.

Termination

We may block any user from the bot, or remove the bot from a server, at any time and for any reason, including breaking these terms or the server rules. You can stop using the bot at any time by not running its commands or by leaving the server.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage from using the bot. That includes lost data, wrong role changes, interrupted playback, or content played from third-party sources. You use the bot at your own risk.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the "Last updated" date at the top changes, and important updates are announced in the Onslaught server. Using the bot after an update means you accept the new terms.

Contact

For questions, data removal, or bug reports, open a ticket or message a staff member in the Onslaught Discord server.
